Baby and Children’s Portraits

Childs Milestones in Photographs
Those childhood
milestones, once missed, can never be duplicated. Fortunately, Cameo Portraits can
photograph these milestones for you in uniquely crafted
portraits, safeguarding them forever as treasured family heirlooms.
During
those first
years of your child's life, physical and mental changes do occur rapidly. In
just weeks, then into months, they
go from vulnerable babies to energetic, inquisitive youngsters,
crawling then taking
their first parent added steps and then..... finding and getting into, well,
if it's reachable-then it's theirs to be had! Check

At 12 months
those facial
characteristics begin to show family likenesses and individual
mannerisms. Still just a baby, they take the first of many steps as their
curiosity grows by the hour. Around that second birthday they begin to
talk and start to respond to others in unique ways as
they investigate a growing world. Between the 36 month and 48
month-birthdays become a most charming age for young boys and girls. Their
skills in speaking and reasoning grow stronger with every day as they
discover
new ways to show their individuality.
At seven years of
age, they're
starting school, permanent teeth are changing their facial shape.
Pictures at this time start to show their special interests that help
to identify who they're becoming through activities such as sports, music,
etc.
Wow-Now at twelve, your
child is teetering on the verge of becoming a teenager when physical, emotional, and
attitude transformations occur. During these trying years, pictures can capture
the "child's" sense of individual style and ever-changing interests.
Now
seventeen,
that little bundle of joy is all but a memory. The boy is nearly a man; the young
woman is now budding into that strange and demanding world of womanhood. While there's
still a lifetime of
emotional growing and learning to come, they'll never again be the child
they were just a few short years ago.

Choose a time of
day that works best for your child, don’t set up an appointment
around nap time or near lunch
time. The pictures will only be as good as the mood of the child.
When talking about the photo shoot with a small one, just say to
them that they are going to play at a fun place. Kids know when parents are
uneasy, nervous, or anxious. Now-Don't make it too big a deal. Being
melodramatic will
only make your child scarred , you want to be relaxed, make the
session out to be like a short fun adventure. We encourage you to
watch thus we allow mom/dad to be in the
studio. But-Please calm-down and enjoy this joyful experience. Be
warned, too
many people in the studio results in disruptions along with poor
results. We have a private dressing room where, if needed, you and
the baby can have a
bottle break , or a "timeout" if required.
Props
Our studio has
plenty of props which will add uniqueness to your pictures, however, we
suggest that
you bring any items of special importance along with you. Bring
items which are
not distracting or over whelming. Do not bring "bright/loud" plastic toys.
Keep most of the props simple. We encourage you to bring along items from home
which are your child’s
favorites. A soft cuddly blanket, a favorite picture book,
maybe a stuffed animal, that
priceless heirloom rattle, that monogrammed gold/silver cup. These
are the types
of items that help your child feel more relaxed and make those images
special and more significant to you.

member in the picture. The warmth, the endearing love, and the natural
emotions are the foundation
that keeps the family together. Every family member is unique-which
in turn makes everyone different. They're constantly growing
spiritually,
changing physically, while all the time evolving. At Cameo Portraits, we

pictures always look great hanging on the walls of your home, it
provides family pride and helps explain the life story of you and your family for
all the generations to come.
Portraits can be
made either formal or casual. The choice is yours and should reflect
your life-style. We do ask that everyone in the group dress in the
same style. Many groups will pick a theme color. Everyone wearing
blues for instance. Do not mix colors that will compete. A favorite
style of this studio is to have the entire family wear black against
a black background. This places the emphasis on the people and their
relationship, the clothes and background aren't competing for
attention. Remember to dress from head to toe, shoes will likely
show.

Boudoir, French
for bedroom, refers to images that have themes of romance,
sensuality, and flirtation. It is not necessary to be nude or
revealing in boudoir photography. It has more to do with an attitude
or state of mind than the state of dress or undress. The illusion of
what might be or could be. The primary
ideas conveyed in boudoir photography are love, affection, romance,
and giving. Boudoir Photography is usually done in our private
studio mixed with a seductive atmosphere while using tasteful and classy
clothing with props to enhance
that feeling of romance and love or we can even go on a location of
your choice to make a special photograph even more special if you

Glamour Photography
Glamour
Photography is a term commonly used to describe a flattering type of
photograph usually taken of one person. Glamour means SEXY - posing
in a sexy manner or wearing low-cut or transparent blouses, short
skirts, open shorts and/or shirts, or some topless. Glamour
Photography can also be suggestive but non-revealing.
A Glamour
Photographic Session takes approximately one to three hours to
complete. During your session, a digital format will be used-camera
is tethered to a computer with a 21" screen. The
digital process allow us and you you to receive immediate feedback on your
poses, outfits, and the setting. This feedback allows us to achieve
the exact results you are seeking.
The challenge in
Glamour Photography is to employ minimal garments effectively to
create a visually pleasing, thematically intriguing image. In simple
terms, Glamour Photography is all about the model and their look, not
their clothes.
Less clothing means MORE model.
Model Portfolios
When shooting
images for your portfolio our goal is to show a wide range of looks
and emphasize your best attributes.
Our ultimate goal
is for potential clients to see something in the images; they can
relate to and, based on that, want to hire you.
In our experience
and considered opinion, the most important shots for obtaining work,
in order of importance are as follows. This applies equally to both
acting/modeling and glamour/fashion.
1). A fashion
lingerie shot. This is the single most important image, revealing
face, figure and modeling skill in a single shot. If a model can
bring a fashion sense to a lingerie image without becoming cheesy or
sleazy, she can handle practically any assignment.
2). A commercial
bikini shot showing how her body really looks.
3). A glamour shot
which tastefully reveals as much of your body as you are prepared to
display.
4). A beauty shot
revealing accurate eye and teeth color, the length and texture of
your hair, and the extent of ear and any other facial piercing.
All other shots
are filler, adding dimension and diversity, but these four shots are
the foundation of a sales-oriented portfolio.

experienced models we have very reasonable rates.

shoots available for experienced models
When headshots,
babies, maternity and glamour sessions are in studio-Cameo will not
schedule any appointments right before or right after your shoot to
insure that there is plenty of time so your session is not hurried
or rushed. Plenty of time is allowed in case you need to take a
break to fix your hair, to feed the baby, bathroom break, etc.
Special requests are welcomed and we will accommodate you if
possible, let’s discuss what you have in mind!
